The Times viciously attacked Gary Webb for his book, Dark Alliance, detailing the CIA's role in the crack trade. A careful analysis of this article reveals that the evidence here presented, by the Times, is more explicit, and more powerfully incriminating, and more revealing of government complicity in this terrible crime than anything Gary Webb, bless him, was able to put together in 800 pages. Lesson Three, like Lesson Two, is another practical application of the same principles, this time analyzing another Times article on the failed prosecution of a so-called "mastermind of 9-11", Lofti Raisi, by the US government.
